CIC 497 - Theme challenge & Partnering with Double Trouble

Welcome to Cupcake Inspirations Challenge--

Today we have some exciting news!
We are thrilled to introduce 5 new Sweeties
to our Design Team!

Please Welcome:

Hello….I’m a retired preschool teacher. I live with my family in the San Francisco Bay Area. Right now I am working at my dream job, part time at a fabric store, I love to sew as much as I love making cards.

Pioniya @ Pioniya
Hi! My name is Kateryna (Catherine). Pioniya is my nickname. I`m Ukrainian, now live in Bulgaria. I’m an architect-designer by education, I worked as a teacher in an artstudio and more than 10 years worked as a furniture designer. I started making cards in 2014. My creative heart belongs to the CaS, I am an avid stampaholic! Sometimes I сreate mixed media and paper projects. Besides scrapbooking, I also love calligraphy, painting, embroidery and crocheting. Very happy to be a part of the Cupcake Inspirations Design Team.

Sue N. @ Foleysfriend

Hi! I’m Sue, aka foleysfriend. I was introduced to scrapbooking many years ago. I find myself taking fewer and fewer photos and still have lots of supplies, so I transitioned into card-making to use up my “paper”. I’m not sure what happened, I have even more paper now! I really enjoy card-making, especially during this pandemic. I’m retired but work occasionally so I have lots of time to craft. My style is clean and simple. However, I’m open to trying new techniques, styles, products and materials. I’m so excited to join the Cupcake Inspiration team.

Hi, I am Sue T.- yes that is what everyone calls me. I have been stamping since 1996. It truly became an obsession when a stamp store opened 5 minutes from my house. For seven years I worked  and taught stamping there. I love making cards. There isn’t a holiday that I don’t send them out. I have dabbled in just about every style over the years, but have found my niche with CAS cards.
I have worked in several stamp stores, had my own business teaching paper crafts and designed for challenge sites and stamp companies. I love to share my knowledge and creativity.
In the real world, I am a FT endoscopy nurse. I have a wonderful husband who is my best cheerleader and critic. My muse in my studio is my sweet 21 year old kitty, Pinkie.

Hello friends!  I’m Vicki Parson from Stamped Smiles and I’m excited to be sharing my creative journey with you as a “Cupcake Sweetie”!  (I’ve been here as a former sweetie back in 2015 and how exciting to return!)  I’ve been involved with paper crafting even as a small child and enjoying creative crafting projects with my grandma and mom growing up.  It’s no surprise that I’m still loving it today!  I have 2 grown children and a husband on the way to retirement, but they all are very supportive with my love for paper crafting!  I’ve been stamping for several years now and have been involved in the blogging world since 2006 and I have met and are still friends with some pretty amazing people!  I look forward to getting to know everyone here and inspiring others with my creations!  Hope you will come share a smile with me!

Now onto the challenge!

Each challenge, we serve up a cupcake to inspire you

to create a card or other craft project following our theme or colors.

For this fortnight we have a theme challenge. Here is this challenge's cupcake!

We've also partnered up with
Double Trouble!
Here's a bit about our friends at Double Trouble:

Welcome to Double Trouble - We're two retired ladies bringing you a new challenge blog where we hope you find fun and inspiration! We're not affiliated with any companies and welcome all participants. Our challenge will include Thing 1-Trouble Maker the Basic Challenge, Thing 2-Double Dare being a surprise element in which you may or may not decide to participate and Thing 3-Twisted Sister, will appear with an optional twist to the Challenge.

When you enter our challenge this week, be sure to run over to the Double Trouble Challenge blog and see what their co-coordinating challenges are, so  you can link up with them as well!  The more aspects of the challenge you do, the more entries you will receive to win their prize!

Here's some inspiration by the Sweeties to whet your appetite!

Cheering and applauding the new additions to the team, a few of whom I've been following for quite a while! They've made an impressive debut; feeling inspired! Guess I need to bring out some flowers and bling!

Wow what a fantastic group of Design Team members, and congratulations to the newbies...lots of inspiration for all entrants. It's our time again to pair and share our projects with one another and hope your Design Team has looked to see if their card matches up with any of our TicTacToe rows, columns or diagonal and if they have we would certainly like them to share with me (Thing 1's TicTacToe Challenge) for this challenge and hopefully come back and visit again with future challenges. Thanks again for partnering with us.
